• Are Honeypie Minerals vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes - we are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. We do NOT test on animals or use any animal derived ingredients, neither do our raw ingredient suppliers. 

• Do your products contain parabens or nano-particles?

No - none of our cosmetics contain parabens, preservatives, bismuth oxychloride, talc, mineral oil, wax, perfumes, fragrances, oils or alcohol. Our ingredients have no nano-sized particles.

• Is your Mica ethically sourced?

Yes - our Mica does NOT come from any child labour whatsoever. None of our mineral ingredients have been mined or manufactured using child labour. No ingredients are sourced from India. 

• Are your products non-comedogenic?

Our mineral makeup range is non-comedogenic. This means there are no ingredients which block the pores. With mineral powders you can achieve excellent coverage and colour which is breathable.

• How do I know which shade to buy?

We offer Sample Sets for £2.99 for three samples. There are 15 shades of our foundations with a Shade Chart to help you select the right shade before you choose the full size. The shade chart tells you which foundation is perfect for you, whether you have Light, Medium, Tan, Dark or Deep skintone, with a cool, neutral or warm undertone. You can even mix powders together to create your own personal shade if you wish. 

• Are Honeypie Minerals the same as other mineral products?

No. We pride ourselves in having some great unique selling points. Most other brands contain talc, rice or corn starch which can lead to breakouts and problematic skin. Many other larger brands also use irritants such as bismuth oxychloride, which can contribute to acne, blocked pores and overall bad complexions. Our three main base ingredients are all natural and healthy for the skin (Mica, Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide). 

• How will mineral makeup perform on oily, sensitive or acne-prone skin?

Our mineral makeup is suitable for all skin types. It is ideal for oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin, as it doesn’t contain harsh synthetic chemicals or irritants. Our products also include key ingredient Zinc Oxide, which has healing properties. Minerals are particularly good for acne-prone skin as they allow your pores to breath and absorb excess oil. You will be a complete convert once you have tried them!

• What is coverage like compared to liquid foundation?

Mineral foundation powders offer great coverage. Our powders feel lovely and light on the skin and allow your pores to breath naturally (unlike other mass-produced high street brands that contain gloopy fillers, preservatives and parabens). Honeypie give you a fantastic alternative; they buff on beautifully to give the look of flawlessly natural skin whilst still protecting you from the day-to-day elements.

• Do I need a special brush to apply minerals?

We stock the eco-friendly So Eco brushes with cruelty-free synthetic taklon bristles, recycled aluminium ferrules and sustainable bamboo handles. We do not support or endorse the production of animal hair brushes. 

• How do I wash my brushes?

Brushes should be washed frequently for best results. Hold the bristles pointing downwards in warm running water, gently lather with a mild shampoo or gentle anti-bacterial soap and rinse again in running water until it runs clear. Always leave makeup brushes to dry naturally on their side in order to prevent water effecting the base of the bristles.

• Where are your products made?

All our products are manufactured and packaged in the United Kingdom, freshly mixed and blended in small batches within our premise in Essex.

• What is your packaging made from?

Our jars and sifters are made from plastic which are 100% recyclable and reusable. We do aim to find a more environmentally-friendly jar alternative soon. We also offer zero-waste, plastic free REFILLS where you can reuse your existing sifter jar and refill with your favourite mineral powders. The Refill pouches and Sample Sets are completely biodegradable and compostable. Orders come packaged in eco-friendly packaging such as GOTS-certified organic cotton bags, FSC-certified recyclable cardboard boxes, biodegradable paper tape and compostable pellets.

• Can I sleep in Honeypie Minerals products?

Whilst some large brands boldly claim their minerals are pure enough to sleep in, we would not recommend this or make the same claim to our customers. Minerals are a natural alternative makeup which are healthier for the skin, however like any makeup product it should be removed at the end of your day before going to sleep with cleansed and moisturised skin. A good skincare regime is essential for beautiful, radiant skin.

• Are your products allergy-free?

Whilst our product formulations are made from very simple and gentle mineral ingredients, no one product or ingredient is guaranteed to be allergy-free for everyone. If you are hyper-sensitive to any product or are unsure about using minerals we recommend you take a patch test. Apply to skin on your forearm or behind the ear and if you do not have a reaction within 24 hours it can be deemed safe to use. 

• Do you offer wholesale opportunities?
